• The occupiers in Mariupol are forcing children to study at the destroyed school

The Russian military has begun to resume training in Mariupol, and students are being taught in a ruined building that is unsuitable for this purpose, namely the Mariupol Secondary School I-  III  .

• The film of the director killed in Mariupol received a special award in Cannes

The film by Lithuanian director Mantas Kvedaravičius, who was killed by the Russian occupiers in Mariupol in April, won a special award at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The film “Mariupol 2” received a special award from the jury of the Golden Eye Award. This was  announced  by Ukrainian director Iryna Tsilyk, who was a member of the jury, on her Facebook page.

• The occupiers deprived Mariupol schoolchildren of vacations and will force them to study Russian all summer

Russia is trying to erase the Ukrainian identity of children in the occupied territories. In Russian-occupied Mariupol, self-proclaimed authorities have decided to deprive children of summer vacations and announced the continuation of the educational process until September 1, said  Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.

• The occupiers’ announcements of “compensation” for the destroyed housing in Mariupol turned out to be only promises

The promises of the Russian occupiers remain just promises. The “Ministry of Construction” of the so-called “DPR” has published an explanation about the receipt of “compensation” for the destroyed housing in Mariupol. However, the reality was not as happy as the promises. The  adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko reported  about it.

It will be recalled that Serhiy Shutenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece, spoke during the Save Ukraine charity telethon in Athens. He stated that Ukrainians and Greeks will rebuild Ukraine and Mariupol together .
