French journalist Frederic Leclerc Imhoff was killed by Russian shelling of an evacuation column in Luhansk region.

Shrapnel pierced the armored vehicle and fatally wounded the journalist in the neck. Our colleague made a material about the evacuation of civilians from Luhansk region. 

The fact of the death of the journalist of the French news channel BFM TV is confirmed by the head of the Luhansk regional military-civil administration Serhiy Haidai.

The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased journalist, to the French National Union of Journalists, with which the National Union of Journalists is a member of the European Federation of Journalists.

Frederick’s death is the eighth death of a journalist in the line of duty while covering Russia’s war against Ukraine.
