Today, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Melinda Simmons and the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Janez Lenarchic visited the cities of Kyiv region destroyed by Russian troops.
Melinda Simmons visited Bucha and talked to locals and authorities.
“I visited Bucha today. The inhabitants went through hell. I visited the mass grave. I talked to parents and children. The children talked about sirens and shelling. They discussed the restoration (cities. – Ed.) With the mayor. And justice with prosecutors. I’m proud that the British humanitarian support helps, ” she wrote on Twitter.
EU Commissioner Lenarchic said in a statement that he “strongly condemns” Russia’s deliberate attacks on Ukraine’s civilian population and civilian infrastructure.
“I was in Irpen today. I was deeply moved by the atrocities committed here and elsewhere. Civilians and civilian infrastructure should never be targeted anywhere. Once again, I strongly condemn Russia’s deliberate attacks on Ukrainian civilians and civilians. infrastructure, ” Lenarchic wrote on Twitter.
