According to Politeka.net during a briefing the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Iryna Vereshchuk said this, explaining why the residents of Kherson urgently need to leave their homes.

“Leave, please, because our army will definitely de-occupy these lands. Our will to do so is unwavering. And it will be very, very difficult to then open a humanitarian corridor when children are there,” Vereshchuk explained, adding that it was hard in Mariupol, and it will be even harder in Kherson region.

According to her, the enemy uses children as a human shield.

“We will know that there are children there, and we will be powerless, and we don’t want that very much,” Vereshchuk stressed.
