The historical photo was published on the Old Photos of Kyiv community page on the social network Facebook . In the picture you can see what this location looked like almost 81 years ago.

“July 1941. The bridge over the Irpin River on the Zhytomyr Highway was blown up,” the statement said.

The published photo shows that most of the bridge was destroyed, and residents were forced to cross a temporary crossing created on the remains of the overpass to cross to the other shore.
