In one of the houses of Bucha, where the Russian occupiers were, sappers found a laboratory flask with a poisonous substance.
It turned out that it was mercury and it was taken out of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant because the radioactive background of the flask was elevated.
This was reported by Bucha Volunteers.
“A local resident of Bucha, returning home, learned that the Russian occupiers were there during the occupation. Calling the sappers of the Volunteer Formation of the Bucha City Territorial Community №1 on the operational hotline, they found a laboratory flask with an incomprehensible substance. “Mercury. The radioactive background of the flask has been raised, so there is speculation that it was taken out of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant,” the statement said.
It is noted that the liquid was removed and handed over for disposal to a hazardous waste disposal company. Why the Russians brought the poison to Bucha will remain an unsolved mystery, Bucha Volunteers added.
The vessel contained approximately 400 grams of liquid metal when in a standard mercury thermometer 2 to 4 grams.
It should be noted that in Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen, Borodyanka and other settlements that were under Russian occupation, the investigation of mass torture , sexual violence, and killings of civilians continues. In the settlements of the Kyiv region liberated from the occupiers, the bodies of dead civilians are found in mass graves, basements and wells. There are about 300 investigative and operational groups.
