In Mariupol , the occupiers destroyed almost all the transport that was purchased over the past five years.

This was announced by the Mariupol City Council on Telegram.

“259 buses, trolleybuses and trams were damaged, about 90% were completely destroyed and are not subject to renewal. The occupiers are trying to repair more or less surviving vehicles and are sending them to Donetsk,” the city council said.

In addition, more than 50 km of trolleybus and tram contact network, i.e. 95%, were destroyed in the city. In order to restore it, 2-3 years of active work and millions of investments are needed, the city council stressed.

“In just five years, we managed to build a modern transport model. We bought comfortable buses and trolleybuses, launched new routes. We have already started the repair of the depot, which was supposed to become the best in Ukraine. The people of Mariupol finally got a European level of service in their hometown. The Russians are all cynical destroyed. Now they are also taking the surviving vehicles to Donetsk. And they are giving the Mariupol residents outdated buses. This is their “liberation”, which is based on destruction and abuse of the residents,” said Mayor Vadym Boychenko.
