Explosions rang out in Zaporizhzhia during the air alert, announced almost throughout the territory of Ukraine. The enemy made two missile strikes on the regional center.
One of Zaporozhye’s enterprises came under enemy fire. This was reported by the Zaporizhia Regional Military-Civil Administration (to see photos and videos, scroll to the end of the page).
“Two arrivals of enemy missiles were recorded in the regional center. One of the city’s enterprises was targeted. The official information will be clarified later,” the Zaporizhia OVA noted.
According to Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhya OVA, the enterprise suffered significant destruction. It is possible that people may remain under the rubble.
The Zaporizhia City Council confirmed that civilians were injured as a result of Russian missile strikes.
“Today, insurgents fired at one of the city’s infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia. We know of two attacks. The relevant services are currently working on the spot. Unfortunately, there are casualties. More details later,” said Anatoliy Kurtev, secretary of the Zaporizhia City Council.
According to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyryll Tymoshenko, at least 7 civilians were injured as a result of an enemy missile attack.
“Preliminarily, 7 people were injured. The head of the enterprise took the employees to the shelter, which probably saved their lives. Take care of yourself, do not ignore the air warning signals, ” Tymoshenko stressed .
Subsequently, the secretary of the Zaporizhzhya City Council, Anatoliy Kurtev , reported that at least 12 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack. They receive medical care in hospitals.
“Relevant services are working at the scene. Rescue operations are ongoing,” added Kurtev.
The number of injured as a result of the shelling increased again – the Prosecutor General’s Office reported 14 victims. It is emphasized that these are preliminary data. A pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings on the fact that the occupiers violated the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
