Kittens in the basement of a five-story building in the city of Irpen in Kyiv region survived and became a talisman for the house. This is the conviction of local residents who returned home after the deoccupation and accidentally found kittens in a stroller in the basement.

How the ashen cat escaped and led the offspring in the midst of fighting for Irpin.

At the entrance to the basement of this house – a small flag of Ukraine. In the hottest days of the Irpin rocket attacks, it became a refuge not only for locals. 

Despite the high-rise buildings around it, the Russian rocket hit a small “yellow house”, which the locals affectionately call their house. 

After the “arrival” of the rocket, most residents left the house. Now they are returning and do not recognize their native area, where there are no surviving houses left. 

In the basement, where there are still chairs with baby blankets, pots, candles, among the bicycles and cots for more than a month lives a feline family – an ashen mother cat and two kittens. 

She was found by one of the neighbors when he went down to the basement to pick up a pram. In it the cat gave birth. 

Residents say that when a pet bears fruit during the war, it is good. Now they take care of her all over the house – they bring sour cream, milk, cat food.  

The cat does not go outside from the basement, one of the residents briefly takes the little kittens out into the sun. 

Kittens without a mother are examined, confuse the camera lens with their home and try to jump inside. The fact that they were born and survived the bombing, the residents of the apartment building call a miracle and do not lose hope of finding a master for the cat. And kittens are ready to give only in good hands.
