The pseudo-village of one of the villages of the Bucha district of Kyiv region will be tried for cooperation with the occupiers.

“The Podolsk District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv, based on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region, filed an indictment against a resident of Kyiv region for making public appeals to cooperate with the armed forces of the aggressor state and disseminating information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Article 111-1, Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) “, – it is said in the message.

The investigation established that the suspect under martial law in late February 2022 accepted the offer of representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and was proclaimed by them the head of one of the villages of Bucha district of Kyiv region.

Subsequently, the attacker publicly called on the villagers to cooperate with the armed forces of the aggressor state.

“In addition, the man repeatedly provided Russian servicemen with information on the location of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense, as well as other actions aimed at cooperation with the armed forces of the aggressor country,” the statement said.

The indictment has now been sent to court. The suspect is in custody.

The man faces up to eight years in prison for the crime.
