Residents of the occupied territories are urged to leave to a safe place to facilitate the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on de-occupation
While the Armed Forces of Ukraine are liberating Kherson Oblast from the invaders step by step , many still have the question of how to leave the occupied territory.
“Krym Realiya” dealt with this issue. The publication emphasized that, unfortunately, there is no 100% safe way out of the occupation.
The publication noted that there are only two ways to leave the temporarily occupied Kherson region: through checkpoints on the front line in the Kherson or Zaporizhzhia regions, or through the checkpoint at the entrance to the annexed Crimea.
The first option is considered more dangerous, because in this direction the Russian Federation has never opened humanitarian corridors to the territory under the control of the Ukrainian government. Journalist Oleg Baturin told the publication that his journey to Ukraine took 4 days. He noted that this path to the free territory only seems short, but due to roadblocks, filtering and queues, it can take several days.
“Only in April, there was an agreement on a corridor from the Berislavsky district, which the Russians ended up breaking, and there were no more such agreements regarding the Kherson region. People are forced to leave at their own peril and risk,” said Baturin.
