According to Serhiy Haidai, on June 20, Lysychansk came under heavy fire.

“It can be said that Lysychansk has been under fire for a long time. Mostly [Russian army fires] from large, heavy calibers: 152 mm, 203 mm, 240 mm, air strikes on the city, very large destruction of the city. But today (June 20, ed.) In the city for the first time, probably, the massive shelling lasted, not for half an hour, but for several hours. The city was shelled all day with breaks of 15 minutes, ” Serhiy Haidai told the UA: Together telethon .

In total, according to Gaidai, more than 10 high-rise buildings, private houses and a police station building were destroyed in Lysychansk in a day.

Also, 13 houses were damaged due to the shelling in Hirsky, 7 in Novozvanivka, and the lyceum was destroyed by shells in Vrubivka.
