In Bucha and a number of settlements near it, the Russian military illegally executed at least 22 people.
Human rights activists learned about the deaths of civilians at the hands of the occupiers.
This was reported by the international human rights organization Amnesty International.
“In Bucha and several other towns and villages northwest of Kyiv, Amnesty International has documented 22 cases of illegal killings by Russian forces, most of which were obvious extrajudicial executions ,” the statement said.
In addition, human rights activists learned of the deaths of 40 civilians in Borodyanka as a result of Russian attacks.
“In Borodyanka, Amnesty International found that at least 40 civilians were killed in disproportionate and indiscriminate attacks that devastated the area and left thousands homeless,” the organization said.
Amnesty International researchers interviewed 45 people who witnessed or heard firsthand about the illegal killings of their relatives and neighbors by Russian soldiers.
