On July 7, the president of the Russian aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, warned the West and Ukraine, saying that the war could drag on until “the last Ukrainian remains alive.”
The American TV channel CNN informs about it .
During a meeting with the heads of party factions of the Russian State Duma, Putin expressed doubts that his country can be defeated on the battlefield, as Western leaders claim.
“We constantly hear that the West is ready to fight with us until the last Ukrainian remains. This is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people. But it seems that everything is going to that,” he emphasized.
According to him, the Russian Federation “has not started anything serious yet” in Ukraine. Putin also accused the West of “encouraging and justifying the genocide of people in Donbas.”
The owner of the Kremlin emphasized that he is ready for peace negotiations, while those who “refuse should know that the longer the conflict goes on, the more difficult it will be for them to negotiate with them.”
CNN notes that Donetsk and Luhansk regions have become key centers of Putin’s military ambitions in Ukraine after his forces failed to take Kyiv.
Earlier, American analysts said that the Kremlin was preparing measures for the so-called crypto-mobilization of the Russian economy. This is evidence that the Russian Federation is preparing for a long war against Ukraine.
At the same time, according to the analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), for the first time in 133 days of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation did not make a statement regarding territorial gains on the territory of Ukraine. This indicates that the occupiers have taken an “operational pause” in offensive actions.
