On the afternoon of July 11, the Russian occupying forces launched a rocket attack on Odesa . From Su-27, Su-30 and Su-35 aircraft over the Black Sea, they fired seven missiles at the city.
One of the shells hit a private house. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, said Kyrylo Tymoshenko , deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine .
According to him, the data on the destruction are being clarified. Meanwhile, the head of the joint coordination center of the defense forces of southern Ukraine, Nataliya Humenyuk, reported that the occupiers hit Odesa with Kh-31 missiles.
“A residential building in one of the coastal villages was hit, several more buildings were damaged by the shock wave. Rescuers are working on the spot,” she said during the briefing.
And the Operational Command “South” clarified that there are also hits on the port infrastructure facility and agricultural lands of the region.
Earlier, Odesa residents said that they heard several explosions; clouds of smoke rose over the suburbs.
As of 10:52 an air alert was announced in Odesa and the region.
And already at 11:07 and 11:17 “Suspilne Odesa” reported about the explosions. In addition, the Telegram channel “News of Odesa” announced the “arrivals”.
“According to preliminary information, flights have arrived in the region. Air defense is also working now, stay in shelter until the air alert ends!”, the message read.
