As a result of shelling by the army of the aggressor country of Russia in Kharkov up to 500 houses are not subject to reconstruction.
The area of the city of Northern Saltivka was badly damaged. Before the war, 300,000 Kharkiv residents lived there.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kirill Tymoshenko spoke about the consequences of the “Russian measure” in the city .
“Several large streets have simply been completely destroyed. The houses there are not subject to restoration. There is no other way out but to build new ones. This will be housing for Kharkiv residents who lost their homes due to Russian aggression,” he said.
Local authorities have already identified the area where construction can begin. Specialists are currently developing all relevant documentation. However, the permission of servicemen is required to start construction. A decision is currently being made to temporarily place people in dormitories of higher education and social institutions.
According to Tymoshenko, the city also needs to demolish destroyed buildings in order to build schools, kindergartens and hospitals in their place.
As reported, the Russian occupiers are trying to gain a foothold in the Kharkiv direction. To this end, they are strengthening fortifications and setting up checkpoints.
