The Portuguese city has promised to help rebuild one of the kindergartens in Irpen.
The mayor of Irpen Alexander Markushin reported about it .
According to him, Irpin and the Portuguese city of Cascais have become twins.
“We visited Cascais with the chairman of the Irpen Investment Council Volodymyr Karplyuk and the deputy of the Bucha City Council Iryna Yarmolenko. I can say on behalf of everyone – the city impressed us incredibly. For us, it has become a shining example of progressive community development. There is a very well-built transport system, utilities work very well and clearly, at a high level of improvement. I am sure that after our victory, representatives of Irpin public utilities will come to Cascais to learn from the best experience of this wonderful city, “Markushin said.
He also added that the mayor of Cascais, Carlos Kereras, had promised that the city community would help rebuild one of the racist-damaged kindergartens in Irpen.
“I am sincerely grateful to our new international partners for such support at this difficult time for us. And a special thank you for the hospitable reception of more than 2,000 Ukrainians who found safe refuge in Cascais. Mr. Kereras did everything to make Ukrainians feel at home in Portugal, not refugees, ”said the mayor of Irpen.
