The authorities of the Donetsk region provide humanitarian aid and evacuate people from the liberated Pavlivka in the Vugledarsk community.
Before the full-scale Russian invasion, 2,063 people lived here. We managed to evacuate most of them even before March 13, when the occupation of the village began, says Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk OVA.

Pavlivka was occupied for more than three months, but at the end of June the Armed Forces liberated it from the Russians.

And since June 27, we resumed the evacuation of local residents, because the village is still on the front line and is constantly exposed to devastating shelling.

We carry out evacuation together with the police, volunteer religious organizations, which provide the rescued people with relocation and temporary housing.

I know that one of the biggest fears that keeps people from evacuating is moving into the unknown. For residents of Pavlivka, like other residents of our region, there is no reason to worry – evacuees are placed in different parts of Ukraine, help is provided by both volunteer centers and local authorities.

Now there are about 350-400 people left in the village, but they all have to leave for their own safety.

A few days after the liberation of Pavlivka, 91 people were deported, including seven children.
