About the security situation in Luhansk region as of July 4:

Fighting continues in the area of ​​Bilogorivka and Novokostiantynivka, the Russians are trying to press the Ukrainian defense forces, but to no avail. There is a small part of Luhansk region that is still under the control of Ukraine. 

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending a small part of Luhansk Oblast so that our military has time to build defensive redoubts:

“Every day, every extra hour, as long as we keep them here and do not let them pass in Luhansk region, is a plus for our troops, who are strengthening the defense line in Donetsk region,” Gaidai noted.

The head of the OVA noted that Russian equipment in the Luhansk region is getting worse and worse, and the military is becoming less professional. This, he believes, demonstrates a certain exhaustion of the Russian Federation, which cannot fill its gaps due to the lack of official mobilization.

In those territories defended by the Armed Forces, the Russians destroyed more than 90% of the infrastructure. Also, 90% of the buildings were shelled and destroyed, and about 60% of them cannot be restored. The Russians will not restore water and gas supply, they can partially provide the cities with electricity, but by about 20-30%. 

“We have a video of rioters who drive on our roads in the occupied part of Luhansk region and say out loud that they have never seen such roads,” Gaidai said when asked whether the Russians will be able to restore the destroyed.
