As a result of attacks by the occupiers, the city found itself in a difficult humanitarian situation. In particular, there is a threat of epidemics in Mariupol. 

The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko declared it.

“Mariupol is in dire need of a new wave of evacuations. The consequences of turning Mariupol into a ghetto will be catastrophic. The threat of an epidemic is becoming a reality with every storm,” a spokesman for the mayor’s office wrote.

According to him, clogged downpours and sewage provide rainwater spills along with garbage, the consequences of its decay of cadaveric poison throughout the city. 

In addition, locals continue to build makeshift wells wherever water can be obtained, Andryushchenko said: “The quality of the water is not in doubt – it is not drinkable, but there is no other.”

It will be recalled that in Mariupol there was a high threat of cadaveric poison, bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other pathogens that could be in the deceased, in the water supply system, underground springs and rivers with the sea.
