According to him, for residents of Ivanovo, whose homes have been destroyed, there are conditions for an hour’s stay at the base of the sanatorium “Dubky”. “We accommodates free of charge all those who suffered, who lost their homes. This is still not enough.

We are inventing other variants, where it is possible to do it. We are grateful to “Ukrzaliznytsia” – they provided us with a place for people to live. It is being equipped. It is air-conditioned, well-made train, and it is being equipped for short-term accommodation” – told the mayor of Irpen.

Until June 15 in Irpen planned to finish the design of the tram for accommodation for one hour people.

“Now we prepare another sanatorium – for children, which is also a lot of rooms, which we can give to people for accommodation at night, and then considered several options. One of the options is the purchase by the state of apartments developers: there are buildings that are at the final stage of construction, and they have not yet sold apartments. We are considering the possibility of buying nearly 400 apartments” – said Litvinov.

Damaged and destroyed as a result of the military action, the housing in Irpen is now being examined by experts. The level of damage is divided into three categories: explosive disruption, shelling and completely destroyed.

“Today the examination of all the buildings is ongoing. Scientists make conclusions – whether the building is suitable for further operation, is it possible to reconstruct, or whether it should only be demolished. Then the City Commission will sit down, taking into account these reports, and make a residual decision for each building”, – Litvinov explained.

The regional budget has already allocated 400 million hryvnias for renovation of the buildings damaged by the landslide or shrapnel wounds. This money will be used to replace damaged windows, doors and repair the paint.
