In the settlements of the Kiev area which lived under occupation of the Russian armies, investigation of use of tortures still proceeds  of civilians is still under investigation.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in  an interview  with the “60 Minutes” program of the Australian TV channel Nine Network.

“Russian occupiers in Bucha brutally tortured and killed civilians. People were even beheaded and limbs beheaded,” he said.

The Ukrainian head of state also shared his emotions after visiting settlements in the Kyiv region that lived under Russian occupation.

“I felt pain, I felt hatred, I felt revenge. This is the first feeling. Then the emotion subsides and the misunderstanding comes – how can we treat people, humanity in general. How could such a number be tortured? Even if they consider us enemies, then to Why are there civilians here? If you consider the army an enemy, “Zelensky explained.

It is worth noting that in Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen, Borodyanka and other settlements that were under Russian occupation, the investigation into the mass use of torture , sexual violence and killings of civilians continues. In the settlements of the Kyiv region liberated from the occupiers, the bodies of dead civilians are found in mass graves, basements and wells. There are about 300 investigative and operational groups.
