Some of the captured Azov fighters, who heroically defended Mariupol and the Azovstal plant from the Russian invasion, were released and returned to Ukraine on June 29.
Almost all the soldiers who were released from captivity lost their limbs.
Tetyana Kharko, the sister of the captured “Azov man” – the commander of the 36th separate brigade of marines of Sergey “Volyn”, told about it to a condition of defenders of Ukraine who returned home on June 29, in the comment to “Public” .
According to her, the released servicemen are in a terrible state. Some Azovs do not hear or see.
However, as the representative of the Association of Defenders of Azovstal Defenders noted, the soldiers are happy that they managed to return home from Russian captivity. Today, all released defenders need medical care.
“Almost everyone, 99% without arms, without legs. Someone can’t hear, someone can’t see, but their eyes are happy. Some guys talk with tears in their eyes, some can’t talk. Now, I think, they’re on their way. Guys from this exchange they need urgent medical care, an examination, “Tatiana said.
The Russians did not give up Volyn itself. The sister says that after her brother was taken prisoner in Russia, there is no information about him. Currently, the family has nothing to do with him.
However, Tatiana stressed that she and other relatives of the “Azovs” are happy to release at least some defenders, because they are all heroes.
“We are all looking forward to them and will do our best to get everyone back home,” she added.
